Great little computer.
For those of you who do not know the difference between a "Netbook" and a "Notebook" computer, a Netbook just has a slower processor, less RAM and a smaller hard drive. The Acer will run most normal applications such as Word, Excel, etc. It is not made for memory intensive applications, such as video or audio editing.
There seem to be a few reviews about "out of the box" defects, but I just purchased two of these items, they work great.
The screen seems to be a little flimsy, but this is not meant to be a rugged "industrial" computer anyways. My girlfriend opened the box, and within 5 min, managed to drop it. Still works fine though.
There is no CD or DVD on this item, so if you want to install a program, you will have to either download it, or hook it up to a USB CD/DVD drive.
I had no problem accessing my home network at all. I walked around outside my house, no problems there either(50-60 ft). Of course the range depends on your wireless router as well.
As for the touchpad, I have never liked them, but this one seems to work as well as the rest of them. Most people will just buy a mouse.
